Coal Services appoints Chief Operating Officer

Coal Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Wayne Green to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).

“After a review of our current operating environment and organisational structure, the Board recognised a need for the creation of a COO role to directly support our operational business units of Mines Rescue/Regulation & Compliance, Coal Mines Insurance and CS Health in delivery of our Strategic Plan,” explained Coal Services’ Chair, Peter Jordan.

Wayne will report directly to Lucy Flemming, Coal Services’ Managing Director/CEO.

“Wayne will support the General Management Team and myself to build on the successes being achieved across our businesses, as well as providing strategic operational leadership to deliver consistency in our customer experiences, optimised service provision and drive value via our integrated health and safety scheme,” said Ms Flemming.

Wayne joined Coal Services in 2019 as General Manager, Mines Rescue/Regulation & Compliance and is an experienced mining executive having worked in the coal industry for more than 35 years.
