Wayne Green Consultant - Chief Operating Officer

Meet Wayne

Wayne’s expertise extends to the areas of mine design, leadership, legal compliance and the development of safety management systems. Wayne joined Coal Services in 2019 preceded by more than 30 years underground coal experience. Today he leads a team of professionals charged with enhancing the safety performance of those working in the NSW coal industry.

Wayne was the Manager of Mining Engineering at Dendrobium Mine and has previously held senior leadership, operational and technical roles in underground coal mines. He is an examination panel member for NSW Undermanger examinations and is a member of the Mine Managers Association of Australia and a Graduate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a member of the Mines Rescue Working Group and the Technical Representative for the NSW Standing Dust Committee on Airborne Contaminants and Occupational Hygiene.

Wayne’s qualifications include; Master’s Degrees in Mining Engineering, Business Management, Business Administration with Distinction as well as a Graduate Diploma in Mine Ventilation. Wayne also holds a Mining Engineering Manager of Coal Mines Practising Certificate and SAI Global Lead Auditor qualifications.
